PULPWORK PRESS

Modern Pulp Tales

SHORT FICTION SUBMISSIONS

PulpWork Press is now closed to short fiction submissions. Check back regularly for updates, though, because you never know when we'll do something insane like hold open submissions for an anthology.

ART SUBMISSIONS

PulpWork Press is now actively looking for cover artists for future novels/collections/anthologies/etc. Handy-dandy FAQ below.

1. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

Cover art. We want pulp-styled art work. Think Bama's Doc Savage covers, Jim Holdaway's Modesty Blaise covers or the various and sundry artists who worked on Weird Tales, Amazing Stories or those cheap-n-trashy novels from the Sixties and Seventies. Check out our links page for art we like, as well as our spinner rack.

2. HOW MUCH DO YOU PAY?

Quote your standard rate for a given gig in your submission. If you don't have a standard rate, come up with one. We prefer even numbers in double digits.

3. HOW DO I SUBMIT?

If you have a website, an art blog or a DeviantArt account, direct us to it. Otherwise, send a sample image or two to pulpworkpress at hotmail dot com, along with a brief cover letter and your standard rate, as well as links to any previously published work you may have.  Basically, let your work speak for itself.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them in your cover letter/submission e-mail and we will attempt to answer them coherently.

NOVEL SUBMISSIONS

PulpWork Press is NOT accepting unsolicited novel submissions at this time. Mainly because we can't afford to pay you. We'd love to do it, mind, but Derrick eats up a lot of the budget, what with his gratuitous popcorn allowance.

 ...

Seriously. Man loves his popcorn.
